BATH & BODY
Wherever possible, I attempt to use all-natural ingredients. Most of my products are scented using essential oils, however some products use phthalate free synthetic fragrances when the natural alternative is either unsafe or impractical. My lotions do contain preservative - this is necessary for your safety and our peace of mind!
I also make every attempt to ensure my ingredients are produced in a sustainable manner. I keep wastes to a minimum - for example, large soap trimmings are curled and dried to create single use travel or guest soaps, and smaller trimmings are kept and 'rebatched' into blended bars. I try as far as possible to use recycled and/or recyclable materials in my packaging.
Most products are vegan-friendly, though a small number may contain honey and/or beeswax. Neither my products nor their base ingredients are tested on animals; all products are instead tested by willing human volunteers! Some products contain nut oils and/or shea butter. I do not disclose exact product formulations, but am more than happy to answer questions relating to allergy concerns. Please contact me HERE.
CARING FOR YOUR SOAP: Handmade soap contains much higher levels of glycerin than commercial soap - while wonderful for your skin, this means that it will attract more water than commercial soap & will break down faster if allowed to remain wet. To prolong the life of your soap, store in a dish with good drainage between uses.
PRECAUTIONS: As with any soap, avoid contact with eyes. My entire product range is formulated to be as gentle as possible, but if you have concerns, it is advisable to patch test (inner arm or wrist) prior to general use. If any skin irritation does develop, please discontinue use immediately and see your doctor if necessary.
All products are handmade in small batches and trimmed by hand. For this reason, there may be some minor variations in weight, colour and scent between each batch.
Some soap may discolour to a dark brown over time - this is perfectly normal and caused by the vanilla content in certain blends. It does not affect the quality of the soap.
